"Before and After" #mdtmakeover on a @rugersofficial American in 6.5CM. Factory stock was replaced with a @mdttac21 Field Stock for improved ergonomics and also uses standard AICS magazines instead of proprietary Ruger mags.
We mounted the customer supplied @leupoldoptics VX-6HD with MDT Premier scope rings and finished with an MDT Oryx bipod. These cost-effective upgrades adds adjustability and capability to this platform.
We installed the stock and mounted the scope with the professional-level tools and techniques that we use on our custom and competition builds as well as function tested the rifle and even polished the mold lines on the stock for the attention to detail that you come to expect from PWS.

Scope mount and sight-in for a local customer. Don`t let an older gal fool you, she`s still sub MOA with 150 gr Core-Lokt and a custom barrel (not us). Customer picked up this NOS @nightforce_optics 8-32 x 56 benchrest scope with 1/8 MOA adjustments for a steal and asked us to mount and sight-in.
Fantastic glass, very precise, these are the scopes that helped build the reputation.
We also added an @evolutiongunworks scope rail and @americanprecisionarms Gen 2 Tru-Loc scope rings to get her dialed in and shooting straight! This one is gonna be hell on the bean fields this whitetail season!!

Super light at only 7lbs 8 oz (no optic), it`s easy to carry up the mountain where the big ones live and the 300 PRC cartridge will for sure get the job done at extended ranges.

Lights out......that`s the only way we can describe how this beautiful 300 Win Mag shoots. 3 consecutive 3-shot groups under 1/4 MOA!!!! Amazing ammo by @coppercreekammo measured only 7.8 S/D and 25 ES over 10 rounds.

PWS was pleased and honored to welcome Army Special Operations and CIA veteran Bob "Ninja" Porras to the shop this weekend. Bob and his lovely bride Laura dropped by the shop for a tour after dinner.
I am always humbled and honored to be in the company of America`s veterans and to hear their stories and learn from their experiences and mindset.
I was fortunate to attend Bob`s Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship 1 and 2 this weekend at @fhshooting in Cherryville, NC. I`m both faster AND more accurate as a result of Bob`s instruction all based off decades of experience with no "range theatrics". I HIGHLY recommend @ninjabobsolutions classes for your firearms training.

Man....as I tag the people in these images I realize what an awesome gift I`ve been given by God himself. Sound mind, healthy body, and the resources and opportunity to interact with all of these amazing humans. I`m humbled and blessed to be in their company, if only for a short time.
I have an awesome family. People who have loved me and encouraged me no matter what and have supported my dreams.
I also have the opportunity to interact with some of the most amazing and driven people on the planet. Active and retired members of military special operations, LE SWAT, and competitive shooters. All you guys have inspired me to be best version of myself each day and continue to push my limits and expand my skillset.

Those rights are enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the cornerstone of our great nation. One of the freedoms I enjoy as an American is to train with some of the finest members of our military this nation has produced.
After 2 days of some of the most intensive, professional pistol and carbine training I`ve ever done, I found myself shaking hands in appreciation and accomplishment with none other than DJ Shipley @dj_shipley85 , Joey Hahn @beardedfrogman , and Eddie Gallagher @eddie_gallagher who were my instructors for the course.
This course was a milestone in my life, not only to be in the company of such men and fellow students, not only to gain personal skill and proficiency, but to lose 31 lbs on a diet and fitness plan in preparation for this class.
I get asked a lot about why I take all these classes and the answer is simple. As a gunsmith, I have to be able to use the tools I build and have first hand experience how they should run. I have to be able to make them do what they do and be a resource for my customers based on proven experience. My credibility is established by the best instructors I can train under. I didn`t say it.....they did.

Something green for St. Patrick`s Day!!!
XM-3 clone in the shop for a little TLC. Full detail clean, corrected a few issues with the ignition system, replaced the trigger, and adjusted the stock inlet for a @badgerordnance M5 DBM bottom metal.
Chambered in .308 (what else?!?), there`s lots of XM-3 correct parts on this, including the stock, rings, optic, and muzzle device.
Was this idea superior to the M40 of the time? I`d love your comments!!
